PROMOTING THERAPISTS AND MENTAL HEATH CARE
TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR TRAUMA THERAPISTS IN PSYCHODRAMATIC TOOLS
About the Foundation
The Mira Stahl EmpowerMH Foundation was established to honor the legacy of Mira Stahl—a dedicated psychotherapist, mother of three, and member of Kibbutz Kfar Aza—who devoted her life to treating children and youth struggling with anxiety in the Gaza Envelope. Mira integrated creativity, spirituality, and deep compassion into her work, opening hearts and building trust through therapy. On October 7, 2023, Mira was tragically murdered during the Hamas invasion.
Her family and friends now continue her legacy by training therapists to treat trauma and anxiety, strengthening mental health care in Israel and beyond.

- Urgent gap in care: Vulnerable populations lack access to qualified caregivers.
- Proven need: Past conflicts show specialized interventions are essential.
- Future vision: Building long-term capacity for trauma response in Israeli society.
The Uniqueness of the Program
This project provides a focused, specialized approach to trauma training, created through the cooperation of three leading bodies:
- Israeli Coalition for Trauma (ITC) – the strongest trauma knowledge center in Israel.
- Dr. Yisroel Loeb – psychologist and program founder.
- Local community leaders – including Mira’s husband, Noam Stahl, with expertise in emergency management.
